Protecting the privacy of visitors to the website (www.kitlafoods.com) operated by Kitla as data controller is one of our leading principles. This Cookie Policy explains to all visitors and users of our website which types of cookies are used and under which conditions, in accordance with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”).
Cookies are small text files stored on your device or on a network server by the websites you visit from your computer or mobile device.
They are generally used to offer you a personalised experience while you use the website you visit, to develop the services offered and to improve your experience, and they can make browsing a website easier. If you prefer not to allow cookies, you can delete or block them in your browser settings. Please note, however, that this may affect your use of our website. Unless you change the cookie settings in your browser, we will assume that you accept the use of cookies on this site.
1. WHAT TYPES OF DATA ARE PROCESSED IN COOKIES?
Depending on their type, cookies on websites collect data about your browsing and usage preferences on the device you use to visit the site. This data includes the pages you access, the services and products you view, your preferred language and your other preferences.
2. WHAT ARE COOKIES AND WHAT ARE THEY USED FOR?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device or on a network server through your browser by the websites you visit. These small text files, which contain your preferred language and other settings on the site, help us remember your preferences on your next visit and make improvements to our services to enhance your experience on the site. This allows you to enjoy a better and more personalised experience on your next visit.
The main purposes of using cookies on our website are:
to develop the services offered to you by increasing the functionality and performance of the website;
to improve the website, offer new features through it and personalise the features offered according to your preferences;
to ensure the legal and commercial security of the website, of you and of our company, and to prevent fraudulent transactions through the site;
to fulfil legal and contractual obligations, in particular those arising from Law No. 5651 on the Regulation of Publications on the Internet and Combating Crimes Committed through Such Publications and the related Regulation on Procedures and Principles.
3. TYPES OF COOKIES USED ON OUR WEBSITE
3.1. Session Cookies
Session cookies ensure that the website works properly during your visit. They are used for purposes such as ensuring the security and continuity of our sites and of your visit. Session cookies are temporary: they are deleted when you close your browser and are not permanent.
3.2. Persistent Cookies
These cookies are used to remember your preferences and are stored on your device by your browser. Persistent cookies remain stored even after you close the browser you used to visit our site or restart your computer. They are kept in your browser's subfolders until they are deleted through your browser settings.
Some types of persistent cookies may be used to offer you personalised recommendations, taking into account matters such as your purpose in using the website.
Thanks to persistent cookies, when you visit our website again with the same device, it is checked whether there is a cookie created by our website on your device. If there is, it is understood that you have visited the site before, the content to be delivered to you is determined accordingly, and a better service is offered to you.
3.3. Strictly Necessary / Technical Cookies
These cookies are essential for the website you visit to function properly. Their purpose is to provide the necessary service by enabling the site to work — for example, allowing you to access secure areas of the website, use its features and navigate it.
3.4. Analytics Cookies
These cookies collect information about how the website is used, how often and how many times it is visited, and show how visitors arrive at the site. Their purpose is to increase performance by improving how the site works and to identify general trends. They do not contain data that could identify visitors — for example, they show the number of error messages displayed or the most visited pages.
3.5. Functional Cookies
These cookies record the choices a visitor makes on the site and remember them on the next visit. Their purpose is to make the site easier to use — for example, they prevent a user from having to re-enter a password on every page visited.
3.6. Targeting / Advertising Cookies
These cookies measure the effectiveness of advertisements shown to visitors and count how many times an advertisement has been displayed. Their purpose is to show advertisements tailored to visitors' interests.
Likewise, they make it possible to identify visitors' interests based on their browsing and to offer suitable content — for example, they prevent the same advertisement from being shown to a visitor again within a short time.
4. HOW TO MANAGE COOKIE PREFERENCES
To change your preferences regarding the use of cookies, or to block or delete cookies, simply change your browser settings.
Many browsers let you control cookies by giving you the option to accept or reject cookies, to accept only certain types of cookies, or to be warned by the browser when a website requests to store cookies on your device.
It is also possible to delete cookies previously saved in your browser.
If you disable or reject cookies, you may need to set some preferences manually, and some features and services on the website may not work properly because we will not be able to recognise and associate your account. You can change your browser settings through your browser's help pages.
5. EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE WEBSITE PRIVACY POLICY
The Website Privacy Policy is effective from its current publication date. If all or certain articles of the Policy are renewed, the effective date will be updated. The Privacy Policy is published on our company's website (www.kitlafoods.com) and made available to data subjects upon request.
